UR Data exists to do one thing well: take the data a business already produces and turn it into software that saves time, sharpens decisions and removes drudgery.
Our story
UR DATA LIMITED was incorporated in Northern Ireland in 2026 and works from Dungannon, County Tyrone. We are deliberately early-stage and deliberately small: a studio, not an agency, built around senior engineering time rather than layers of management.
The idea behind the company is simple. Small and medium-sized businesses generate as much useful data as large ones, but almost none of it works for them — it sits in exports, inboxes and spreadsheets maintained by whoever drew the short straw. Most data consultancies are structured, and priced, for enterprises. We are structured for everyone else.
Being new, we would rather earn trust with honesty than with borrowed logos: you will find no invented client lists, statistics or testimonials on this site. What you will find is a clear description of what we build, how a typical engagement looks, and a direct line to the people who would do the work.
Where we work
We are based in Dungannon, in the heart of Mid Ulster — a region with a remarkable density of manufacturing, engineering and agri-food businesses, most of which run on exactly the kind of hard-working spreadsheets we love to replace. We serve clients across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK, working remotely with on-site visits where they help.
What we believe
- Boring technology, exciting results. We build on mainstream, well-documented tools that another engineer could pick up in a week. The excitement should be in what the system does for you, not in the stack.
- You own your data and your systems. Everything we build lives in accounts you control, with source code and documentation handed over as standard.
- Small first. The smallest useful version, shipped early, beats the perfect system delivered late. Every engagement is scoped to show value in weeks, not quarters.
- Straight answers. If a spreadsheet is genuinely the right tool for your problem, we will tell you so — and tell you how to make it a better spreadsheet.
- Privacy by default. We treat client data as a liability to minimise, not an asset to accumulate. Our own privacy policy is written the way we wish everyone's was.
